European visitors should take note: Estadio BBVA is located in the Guadalupe area, approximately 12 km (7 miles) northeast of Monterrey's downtown. Take Metro Line 2 to San Nicolás station, then Metrobús Line 1 to Estadio BBVA. Alternatively, taxi/Uber takes 20-30 minutes from downtown Monterrey.

Metro to Metrobús

  • Metro Line 2: To San Nicolás Station (Green Line)
  • Transfer: At San Nicolás to Metrobús Line 1
  • Metrobús Station: Estadio BBVA (5-minute walk to stadium)
  • Total Travel Time: 35-50 min from downtown
  • Fare: Metro 5 MXN + Metrobús 7 MXN (total ~€0.55)

Best option for international visitors. Follow signs for "Metrobús" at San Nicolás station. The Estadio BBVA station is steps from the stadium entrance.

Metrobús

  • Line: Line 1 (La Fe - San Nicolás)
  • Station: Estadio BBVA
  • Service: Rapid bus transit system
  • Fare: 7 MXN (approximately €0.35)
  • Note: Requires prepaid card

Alternative rapid transit option. Station is adjacent to stadium with easy pedestrian access.

Transmetro Bus Routes

  • Main Routes: Multiple city bus routes serve the area
  • Drop-Off: Various stops along Av. Pablo Livas
  • Fare: 4-6 MXN depending on route

Local bus service available. Check route maps for specific stops near the stadium.

Driving Directions

  • From Historic Center: Av. Constitución to Carretera Nacional
  • From North: México-Laredo Highway to Av. Pablo Livas
  • From West: Av. Morones Prieto to Carretera Nacional
  • From Airport: Carretera Miguel Alemán to Av. Pablo Livas

Allow 1-2 hours extra for traffic on game days. Stadium is visible from major roads.

  • Cost: Approximately MXN 250 but can be higher during major events

Important: Public transit (Metro + Metrobús) is strongly recommended due to heavy traffic and parking limitations. Exiting parking areas after events can take considerable time.

From Metro Line 1 Areas (University Area)

  • If staying in: University area, San Pedro, or Line 1 corridor
  • Transfer Required: Metro Line 1 to Cuauhtémoc, transfer to Line 2
  • Then: Metrobús Line 1 to Estadio BBVA from San Nicolás
  • Fare: Metro + Metrobús ~12 MXN (approximately €0.55)

If you're staying in areas served by Metro Line 1, transfer at Cuauhtémoc to Line 2, then take Metrobús from San Nicolás to the stadium.

From Airport (MTY)

  • Direct Taxi/Uber: 20-30 minutes to stadium (MXN 250-400)
  • Via Metro: Take taxi to Metro Line 2 station, then Metrobús
  • Rental Car: Available at airport, follow Carretera Nacional
  • Best For: International visitors arriving by air

Most convenient option from Monterrey Airport (MTY). Taxi/Uber recommended for direct access.

Traffic & Timing Tips
